The AanZET scheme (Subsidy for the Purchase of Zero-Emission Trucks) is intended for companies and non-profit organisations investing in new zero-emission trucks.
The scheme supports the purchase or financial lease of new zero-emission trucks in vehicle categories N2 (only N2 from 10,000 kg) and N3. These must be fully zero-emission vehicles, such as battery-electric or hydrogen-powered trucks.
The AanZET subsidy compensates part of the additional cost of a zero-emission truck compared to a comparable diesel truck.
The level of support depends on the vehicle category and the size of the company. The subsidy typically ranges from approximately 6% to 29% of the purchase price, up to a maximum amount per vehicle.
The scheme applies exclusively to new zero-emission trucks. Hybrid vehicles are not eligible. In addition, the truck must be used for freight transport and registered in the name of the applicant.
With the AanZET scheme, the government aims to accelerate the transition to zero-emission heavy-duty road transport and support companies in shifting to an emission-free fleet.
