The SIB scheme (Support International Business) is intended for SMEs in the Netherlands that want to introduce their products or services to foreign markets or expand their international activities.
The scheme supports companies taking steps towards internationalisation, such as exploring new markets, developing an export strategy, or participating in international trade fairs.
The SIB scheme consists of various instruments, such as coaching, market exploration, knowledge vouchers, and support for participation in trade fairs.
Per application, a company can receive a grant of up to € 2.500. Companies can apply multiple times per year, up to a maximum of € 6.500 per calendar year.
With the SIB scheme, the government aims to support SMEs in entering foreign markets. The grant can be used for activities such as developing an export plan, conducting market research, obtaining advice on foreign regulations, or participating in international trade fairs, either individually or as part of a group.
